MY Multi-Faith Solidarity Fund for Türkiye and Syria
🚨 The devastating 7.8 Richter scale earthquake in the south of Turkiye and north of Syria on the 6th of February 2023, has resulted in more than 45,000 dead and countless injured with the numbers rising. Thousands of buildings collapsed while people were sleeping at 4.15 am in the early morning.
The whole world rose to the occasion to send assistance, especially search and rescue amid the rubble where tens of thousands are still trapped. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged the international community to help.
Malaysia sent its elite SMART search and rescue team immediately. The humanitarian NGOs too started campaigns to collect funds for their effort.
Like major tragedies, the pain is unimaginable and the needs are unfulfilled. Everyone can play their role.

The multi-religious organisations and NGOs out of a sense of urgency have also joined together to fundraise for the victims in Turkiye and Syria. As many as 37 organisations are coming together to carry out campaigns in their respective spheres of influence to collect as much funds for the humanitarian effort and channeling the funds through Global Peace Mission (Malaysia) GPM.
