A fruitful meeting was held on 12 December 2017, between Y.B. Datuk Nur Jazlan Bin Tan Sri Mohamed, the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and representatives from Malaysian Buddhist Association (MBA) and Malaysian Buddhist Consultative Council (MBCC) at the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss issues affecting the Malaysian Buddhist Community.Malaysian Buddhist Organisational Representatives meet up with the Deputy Minister of Home AffairsThe Buddhist representatives included the Vice President of MBA, Venerable Chan Liang and its Assistant Honorary Secretary, Mr. Lei Chin Seong; Venerable Jue Cheng from Fo Guang Shan, the President of MBCC, Mr. Eddie Wong Eng Tat, the Honorary Secretary of MBCC, Mr. Sarath Wickrama Surendre, together with the representatives of its member organizations, i.e. Mr. Gan Chee Wei from Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia, Ms. Loh Pai Ling from Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia, Mr. Chew Eng Ghee from Vajrayana Buddhist Council of Malaysia, Mr. Chim Siew Choon and Mr. Lee Kok Cheng from Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia and Mr. Lim Boon Khai from the Persatuan Penganut Agama Buddha Fo Guang Malaysia.(newspaper report in Sin Chew Today)- Posted by CFFong
